I started doing Pilates because as a super active individual (I loved running and weight training and still do a lot of weights / HIIT workouts). I would often get aches and pains. My knees would ache, my back would hurt, (probably also from having a desk job) and it would take days for me to feel “normal” again. Pilates was incredible, I found it calming at first and really good for flexibility and recovery after doing a long run. As I progressed from beginner to intermediate/advanced level I found it HARD and really challenging which I LOVE! I found that I was using and activating muscles I didn’t even know existed, I felt that I was more toned, and definitely stronger and more defined in my core, AND more confident in my body! Recovery from weights and running happened so much faster and I fell in love with it! If you don’t do Pilates, you must try it! It really is magical and can improve your body in so many ways! And as Joseph Pilates once said, you may even have a totally new body in 30 sessions! 🤍✨
What about you? What are your reasons for doing Pilates and what made you start?

I started Pilates as I am not as flexible as I used to be :)
